ON EBAY THIS WEEK

THE FACE OF IVORY

Unacceptable

Every day in the savannas and forests of Africa, elephants are being gunned down for their ivory tusks. Across the continent, tens of thousands of these majestic animals are being slaughtered each year. In many places the species has already been poached to extinction. If we don’t act now there may be no wild elephants left.

The WWF organisation today launches a global petition asking Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to ban all ivory trade in Thailand in order to curb the illegal killing of African elephants.

Please take action and sign the petition:  http://action.panda.org/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1773&ea.campaign.id=17713

REASONS TO BE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT

Every now and again I have to remind myself why I'm a Liberal Democrat. The University Fees issue stalled me in my tracks for three months, but there was insufficient persuasion to be anything other than a Lib Dem. I was finally persuaded to renew membership my watching Martin "Money Saving Expert" Lewis video which told me how students are better off under the new system than under the last system.

This week I was reminded of another reason I got involved. What was the miners strike about? "Unions". "Government".

WHAT IS MAN?

Here's a couple of videos that appealed to my senses this week.

And Finally... I Should Have Been An Artist. (We all need to chill out now and then)
